Medical follow-up

  • Book a GP review within a few days; discuss mood, sleep, meds and support options.
  • If you left hospital with a plan, keep the contact numbers handy and tell someone you trust.
  • If meds were changed, ask about side-effects, alcohol, and when to seek help.

Safety changes at home

  • Limit stockpiles of medication; use a dosette box; ask the pharmacy for weekly dispensing if useful.
  • Store sharps/ropes/cords out of reach; move them out of the space for now.
  • Share your early warning signs with a trusted person and agree what they’ll do.
